My Bio

David Foos

Name: David

Hometown: Denver

Major: Finance

Favorite class: Managerial Finance

Background:
I was born and raised in Denver. After graduating from North High School, I joined the United States Navy, where I served for five years as an air traffic controller. Three of those years were served onboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. My final year in the Navy was spent at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, Calif. It was there that I decided to leave the military and pursue another career. Transitioning from military to civilian life was a bit of a challenge, struggling with whether or not leaving the military was the right decision. I then found a job at Frontier Airlines as a ramp service agent. Working there for a few years motivated me to go back to school. I applied to Metropolitan State College of Denver, began my college education and am now pursuing a major in finance.

Favorite quote:
“If you always put a limit on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
– Bruce Lee
